Programme Officer/Coordinator (Care)

Department: Centre for Advocacy, Relations and Engagement (CARE)

Ministries: Family, Children, Youth, Arts, Ethnic communities (and others)

Reports to: Head of Department (CARE)

Overall Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and execute Bible engagement programmes/events with relevant stakeholders
  2. Advocate for and actively engage the Church in regional Biblical literacy initiatives, promoting the importance of reading, comprending, and applying Biblical teachings in daily life
  3. Cultivate robust partnerships and relationships with the Church to strengthen collaboration and support for shared goals

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Organise and coordinate the day-to-day activities involved in programme implementation, ensuring that tasks are carried out effectively and efficiently
  2. Provide administrative assistance, such as managing schedules and documentation, to ensure the smooth running of programmes
  3. Generate regular reports detailing program progress, outcomes, and any challenges encountered, for presentation to relevant stakeholders
  4. Maintain clear and effective communication with team members (within department and inter-department), stakeholders, and participants
  5. Build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders, including participants, partners, and community members

Requirements:

  • Experience in project management is advantageous
  • Exhibits excellent interpersonal, team collaboration, organisational, and analytical skills
  • Has excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrates proficient oral and written communication skills; Fluency in multiple languages, with a strong command of English, will be considered
  • Enjoys and excels in creative tasks, proficient with current designing software/apps for social media posts/campaigns
  • Committed and responsible, dedicated to accomplishing assigned tasks
  • Demonstrates grit and resilience in facing challenges
